Blue Frog: New Fusion Nepali-Mumbai Restaurant In St Paul’s Bay Nails It With Great Food And Views
Yet another Nepali-Indian restaurant has opened its doors in St Paul’s Bay, this time on the seafront opposite the main pier.
This family-run restaurant has a very friendly feel to it with the owner checking that if have everything we need.
The husband is from Mumbai while his wife is Italian. The chef is Nepali but has lived in Mumbai for a long time and is proficient in both cuisines. Great, that means Momos!
You might have gathered so far that I am quite fond of momos, the delectable Tibetan dumpling that is the Queen of dumplings.
I assure you that I was not disappointed. Blue Frog only make chicken momos but they are freshly made in the restaurant and are delicious dipped in its special sauce.
This was followed by Bombay Chicken, Channa Dal (Chickpea Curry) and Biryani Rice. There is also a bit of the wife’s Italian influence shining through with Indian Panelle (Chickpea Fritters, typically Sicilian street food) and excellent espresso.
All in all, a very pleasant evening, eating and drinking in the balmy breeze next to the sea. I will be back to try some more.
