Bringing South America To The Med: Check Out Buddhamann’s Delicious Replacement In St Julian’s

Article Featured Image

One of Malta’s top restauranteurs, Marvin Gauci, is bringing the taste fo South America to the Maltese shores, taking the place of his former Buddhamann restaurant in St Julian’s.

The restaurant suffered substantial damage at the hands of the gale-force winds currently battering the Maltese islands last February. However, Gauci pledged to get to work on it straight away, claiming that he promises “to rebuild it bigger, better and stronger.”

Susurrus, which means a soft whisper, has kept the original restaurant’s fusion flare, moving away from its eastern roots to find inspiration in the western hemisphere.

Using fresh local ingredients and avant-garde techniques, Susurrus presents Mediterranean cuisine influenced by diverse South American cooking.

Serving ceviches, tacos and South American classics, Sussurrus still has some remnants of Buddhamann’s menu keeping some of their Asian inspired dishes.
