Charlie Tal-Blue Bar Is Here To Stay, Novi Burger Announces
Beloved owner of Blue Bar Charlie Zahra is not going anywhere, Novi Burger announced following the news of them taking over the location as their fourth establishment on the island.
“Dear Charlie retired but he will still be here, keeping an eye on all of us together with his son Jason! We wouldn’t do it without him,” the restaurant commented on a Lovin Malta post honouring the iconic Msida bar.
Blue Bar had been operating in Malta for around 28 years and it was known for its chicken ftajjar, toasties, billiards table, and jukebox always livening up the place with music.
The space is now making way for another Novi Burger establishment where the spirit of the bar will definitely be upheld, they’ve even included Blue Bar in the name.
The bar is located outside Junior College and was beloved by many students.
