Crazy For Quesadillas? Mexican Street Food Restaurant Opens In Ta’ Xbiex

It started off two years ago as a plucky little food truck, but treasured Mexican street food joint Avotaco has now been upgraded into a fully-fledged restaurant.
The Avotaco restaurant in Ta’ Xbiex offers all the old favourites, from chicken quesadillas and nachos to tacos stuffed with pulled pork and chorizo and dripping with coriander cream. However, it will also up the ante, offering daily Mexican specials to keep things fresh and allowing customers to design their own tacos and burritos.

For Mexican food lovers, this new restaurant will go some way towards alleviating the pain induced by the closing down of Frida in the same town earlier this year.
In an additional twist, the restaurant will be completely cashless, making it one of the first Maltese restaurants to take the plunge and embrace credit cards full on.
And early signs are promising, with Avotaco describing yesterday’s launch as “overwhelming” and “tacoriffic”!
¡Nos parece maravilloso!
