Earlier this year, the news that the popular chain Domino’s Pizza is finally coming to Malta took the island by storm. The indulgent, greasy, deep-pan beauties have been around since 1960s and are currently sold in over 70 countries, but it’s finally our time to shine… or rather, eat.

Now, Domino’s has announced the location of its first outlet, and it’s as central as it gets; Birkirkara. 

The announcement came yesterday and got a whole lot of traction, and that hype is only set to get even more intense thanks to an impromptu competition. Yep, Domino’s first Maltese branch isn’t even open yet, but they’re going to be announcing five winners later on this week. One can only hope it’s free pizzas.

This morning, we were given a bit more information on the exact location of the new Domino’s outlet, thanks to one of our readers. “I was on the bus and saw them take the sign out of a van just now,” he said. “It’s in Naxxar Road, a couple of steps down the road from Smart Supermarket.” 

That would put the new Domino’s bang in one of the busiest streets in the area.
