Everything You Missed At Ħamrun’s Chocolate Festival This Weekend
Ħamrun reminded the rest of Malta that they are the kings of chocolate this weekend by hosting an incredible chocolate festival.
More than just a festival with chocolate products, the festival brought some of Malta’s top chefs and culinary artists together to create beautiful edible structures – all made out of chocolate.
And of course, there were endless varieties of chocolates for everyone to try out.
Benna even set up a stall with a chef Emmanuel Aquilina creating some beautiful Maltese desserts, such as kannoli (both normal as well as lactose-free) and Maltese souffle’.
There were even some incredibly chocalicious takes on some classic Maltese dishes, like some beautiful deep-fried imqaret covered in a tantalising layer of chocolate and candy.
The 13th Hamrun Girl Guides even took a page out of the Willy Wonka manual and were giving out Golden Tickets to the attendees.
With happy, chocolate-smudged faces everywhere, some really cool chocolate inventions, and of course, some super tasty dishes, this year’s Chocolate Festival was a veritable treat for all who attended.
