Firilla Forever! Fried Fish Fanatics, Your Crispy Cravings Are Set To Be Quelled On A Daily Basis
Summer may be over, but some of the last season’s best food is set to live on throughout the colder days of the year.
Hot off their residency at Birkirkara’s Mużika, Firilla are set to launch their flagship store open every day so you won’t have to wait until next summer’s instalment of the weekly live entertainment events.
Having served up some super savoury seafood samples every Thursday from June through to August this last year, Firilla have made a big enough splash in the local foodie scene to suffice a permanent spot on Malta’s restaurant block.
Their iconic cones are credited for catching not the deadliest, but the tastiest crispy calamari while sitting alongside other food stalls like Nom Nom (which also recently set up a semi-permanent-summer-residency-but-with-food shop with MedAsia’s OMNIA lido), Hungry Cow (me, right now, because fish are friends and food), Thirsty Cow (because we’re getting personal now), Notorious Smokehouse and Chef’s Plate.
Whether you’re wanting a whitebait, a wholetail or a classic calamari, this place is going to need to be on your radar.
Fishing season is well and truly upon us, and Firilla opening up a full-time fryery means 2019 can officially end on a good note. We just wish they’d let us know where the hell the plaice is going to be… but we’re going to have to wait for that!
