Foie Gras Fans: Head Over To These Six Restaurants In Malta To Get Your Fix
Foie gras is the luxury food found on most fine dining menus. Its soft buttery texture and rich taste is enough to make you cry.
For personal ethical reasons, I try not to have it often (or only on special occasions). However, when I do…I know where to go!
Here are some places which serve scrumptious foie gras dishes, in no particular order (veggies/vegans…look away)!
1. SALT, Bugibba
A decadent duck foie gras starter with toasted brioche, caramelised and served with onions candied in red wine.
2. Brass & Knuckle, Naxxar
The Brass & Knuckle burger features pan seared foie gras with a roast onion bun, onion confit and truffle fries.
They also have a starter of pan seared foie gras in port and onion jam. Served on a toasted brioche.
3. Caviar & Bull, St Julian’s
This luxurious starter is a flash seared foie gras served with walnut and red currant toast, topped with caviar and apple pomme frites!
4. The Chef’s Table, Bugibba
Foie gras torchon with cashew nut and lager butter, soaked golden raisins and cumin flat bread.
5. Fat Louie’s, St Julian’s
Wrap your lips around a hefty foie gras burger with caramelised onion and deli mustard!
6. Castelletti Restaurant, Rabat
This risotto features foie gras butter, pan seared foie gras, thyme, butter and Parmesan port reduction.
