It’s the end of an era for what could very well be Malta’s oldest Indian restaurant… at least, as far as its owners go.

“After almost 30 years, and having run the oldest Indian restaurant in Malta, Kevin and Robert will no longer be part of Krishna Indian Restaurant,” the beloved Sliema eatery posted on Facebook this morning. “Now it is time for them to relax, and enjoy their time with their families.”

Located along the Sliema Strand seafront, Krishna has been a favourite for generations, with many locals and tourists alike falling in love with the restaurant.

And the reaction the Facebook announcement has already received is proof of that, with many thanking Kevin and Robert for “the many delicious meals over the past years”.

“We wish to thank everyone who supported us during this journey with your invaluable custom and friendship that has made us thrive over the years,” the restaurant ended. “Thank you again to each and everyone.”
