Malta To Host Prestigious S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition

Exciting culinary news for Malta as the island is set to host the renowned S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2024 this coming November.

This global initiative was created to discover and nurture the world’s most talented young chefs.

The local jury for the South Europe and Mediterranean Regional Final, who will be tasked with declaring the regional winner, have also been announced.

Malta’s very own Victor Borg will join other culinary masters Thanos Feskos from Greece, Iwona Niemczewska from Poland, Alexandru Iacob from Romania and Igor Jagodic from Slovenia to assess aspiring chefs under 30 who are eager to showcase their prowess through signature dishes.

Competitors will be evaluated based on their technical skills, creativity, and personal culinary belief.

Winners of the regional finals will advance to the grand finale in Milan in 2025, vying for the global S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Award.

Additionally, special accolades such as the S.Pellegrino Social Responsibility Award, the Acqua Panna Connection in Gastronomy Award, and the Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award will also be presented during this competition.
