Tanya Debono, the wife of the renowned actor Joe Debono, shared a heartfelt message on social media announcing the comedian’s last book has been published and is for sale.
“Are you ready for the last treasure Joseph Debono left behind for us?” she asked, sharing an image of the book.
“It-Teżor ta’ Klement” is a novel where the plot follows protagonist Paul and his uncle after receiving a mysterious letter. It is Debono’s final book, typed via a special eye-recognition programme Debono used as ALS racked his body.
Joe Debono, who’s famously known as James Bondin from Xarabank, died just over a week ago following his battle with ALS.
Towards the end of his life, Debono had become an active member of the ALS community, opening up about the challenges that come with ALS and refusing to shy away from the issue. Joe Debono used to also dabble and write novels, most prominently his novel released earlier this year, Iz-Ziju ta’ Manwel.
Kite, the company that have previously published Debono’s other works, went on to promote the book on social media where they unveiled that Debono personally wanted the book “ready for the book festival” being held this weekend.
You either click here to purchase the book online or you can attend the book festival next Sunday, 7th November from MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
