Article Featured Image

It’s been a good week for food in Malta, with some of the most recognisable brands in Malta as well as some of the newest start-ups whipping out a couple of very interesting crossovers.

Mixing the savoury with the sweet, these three food items are fresh out of the minds of their chefs, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find them anywhere else in Malta… or beyond, for that matter.

Kinder Bueno Pastizzi

Sphinx

“We wanted to be creative and extravagant while keeping with tradition,” the legendary local pastizzi house told Lovin malta. “Since the figolli pastizzi were such a hit, we knew we needed to come out with something new.”

Pulled Pork/Beef in a Fresh Brioche Bun

Stru x Pulled Meat

“New menu update!” Stru announced last Sunday. “We will be teaming up with EAT, known for one of the most amazing pulled meats in Malta! We will be serving smoked Pulled Beef in a tasty Brioche Bun, mustard and rucola.”

If that doesn’t make you excited for the future of Malta’s food, then I don’t know what will.

Doughnut Fries

Chubbz Delivery & Take-Away

“We’re constantly working on bringing you the very best, and for that reason we’ve created the delicious doughnut fries,” the latest foodie hub announced last weekend. “The perfect dessert to share and satisfy your sweet tooth!”
