I Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat! New York Best Is Launching A 100% Vegan Plant-Based Burger
As the global carnivore-vegan battle wages on, one of the island’s most popular meaty joints has come up with the best possible compromise.
Burger giants New York Best have collaborated with Beyond Meat to launch a burger that’s fully plant-based vegan. Yes, you read that right.
The Beyond Burger patty is the world’s first plant burger that looks, cooks and tastes just like fresh ground beef. It contains 20 grams of plant protein per serving (basically more protein than beef itself), and has no GMOS, soy or gluten.
The 120 gram patty is made using simple plant-based ingredients. Peas provide the protein, tiny amounts of beet gives the beefy red colour, the coconut oil and potato starch are the reasons behind the burger’s mouth-watering juiciness and chew.
In the US, The Beyond Burger is sold at more than 25,000 supermarkets and seen on the menus of thousands of restaurants and hotels. This is the very first time that it will be seen in Malta thanks to the importing of J&C Pisani Ltd.
The patty will not compromise on taste and NYB are working really hard to make a burger that’s feasible.
