Books & Cups is the latest in a string of new hipster cafes to open in Malta. This cosy place in Gzira is only a few weeks old and is already getting rave reviews from visitors. Its concept is one that’s been tried and tested overseas, but has very little to compare with here in Malta. A coffee-shop-come-mini-library, with over 700 books in 5 different languages
The focus of this concept cafe is to promote reading during coffee breaks. Visitors can pick from a vast range of books, and even take their read home if they leave a fully refundable €10 deposit. They also stock foreign newspapers and great coffee, so there’s really not much missing for all of the Maltese bookworms out there.
