It’s Fryday: Cooking Oil Barrels Spill All Over Marsa Flyover

Article Featured Image

Avoid driving through Marsa anytime soon – unless you’re a chef.

Civil Protection Department staff and contracted cleaners are scrubbing a major amount of cooking oil which spilled onto one of the Marsa flyovers.

The spill – which happened around noon on the flyover leading from Triq Garibaldi towards Triq Aldo Moro – has caused the flyover to close temporarily closed.

“Long term disruptions” and traffic in the area is expected by the CPD as a result.

One of the roads beneath the flyover is reportedly also being affected, as some of the cooking oil spilled down onto it.

Who would’ve thought that a lubricating substance could be the cause of more gridlock?
