Stop what you’re doing immediately; Cronuts have launched in Malta. I repeat, cronuts have arrived in Malta (finally catching up to the rest of the foodie world).

The food nerds over at Manouche Bakery & Bistro have decided to bring cronuts to Malta for the very first time and quite frankly, it’s the best thing since sliced bread (well actually… it’s better). They will be introducing a flavour every month starting with vanilla creme patissiere.

If you don’t know what a cronut is, let me break it down for you.

It’s quite literally a hybrid between a doughnut and a croissant.

Now, I know what you might be thinking (while rolling your eyes) “Ugh, another fad”. But nope, it really isn’t. It takes major baking skills to make one and who better to do it in Malta than Manouche?

The cronut originated in New York and then came to London and people went absolutely crazy for them (and when I say crazy, I mean queuing for hours before work to get their hands on one kinda crazy).

This flakey sugary piece of heaven is definitely going to be big hit here!

Tag someone who needs to try a cronut!
