Settling into its new role as the bustling centre for blockchain technology and all things cryptocurrency, Malta is the new go-to destination for blockchain fans worldwide. There’s no better example of this than the DELTA Summit 2018.
Pitched as the official platform for blockchain dialogue, the Summit will be held between the 3rd and 5th of October, with a slew of events tying into the event, including one very special Lovin Malta surprise.

Start: Triton Fountain 19.00
Vjal Nelson, Valletta
Located just before Valletta’s City Gate, the Triton Fountain has become somewhat of an Instagram must-have on every tourist’s trip to the Maltese Island. It was designed and constructed over the span of 8 years in the 1950s, and was built over the site of a former 17th century lunette. The Fountain represents one of Malta’s most iconic modernist landmarks; it underwent major restoration works in 2017 and was just reinstalled earlier this year.
Charles Grech
Point 1 on map: 10 Republic Street, Valletta
The OG Charles Grech outlet, this 19th century spot was born with one man’s return to his homeland after a long and distinguished career with the Royal Navy. Charles Grech himself set up shop in this exact spot in 1881, selling some of the finest tobaccos and spirits. Grech was so passionate about his work that he kept his doors open for his customers during the Second World War, when the city was under attack.

Kantina Café

Set to the austere walls of the 16th century St. John’s Co-Cathedral with tables and chairs strewn beneath the streets of St. John’s Square, Kantina Café represents the classic Valletta joint, combining tasty snacks with capital city realness.

City Lights

The famously notorious City Lights Cinema has quite the history lurking behind its doors. Springing to life in the early 20th century, City Lights is mostly known for being the islands’ only erotic cinema. It has now been given a new life as a cinema-bar specialising in craft beers and the screening of classic movies and vintage flicks.

Yard 32

Serving gin and tapas realness, Yard 32 boasts the largest selection of gins on the island, set to the backdrop of a Spanish-themed tapas bar. The quaint Strait Street gem hosts over 180 different gins for you to choose from.

Kingsway

Poised smack-dab in the middle of Valletta’s busy Republic Street, Kingsway owes its name to the capital’s 20th century City Gate. This upmarket café in the heart of Valletta is the perfect spot to catch a break and watch people walk by, and has quickly made a name for itself as an elegant hangout packed with a chic aesthetic and delectable cocktails.

The Pub
Point 6 on map: 136 Archbishop Street, Valletta
Voted as the fifth most legendary pub in the world, The Pub is a favourite for sports showing and beer drinkers. Notably, The Pub represents the spot where actor British Oliver Reed enjoyed his last drink.

St. George’s Square

Back in the day whenever a sailor needed to pick up a lady of the night, this was the place to be. Nowadays the snazzy Tico-Tico bar is mostly known for its quirky vibes and cool atmosphere, packed with quaint sofas and chairs beneath the lights of Strait Street.

Carmen Bar

Despite being among the smallest in the area, Carmen Bar is one of Strait Street’s oldest bars. And if you don’t believe us, pay a visit to this veritable time capsule kept intact by the current owners.
It’s prime position close Old Theatre Street meant it was a favourite among locals and culture vultures, maintaining its status as a successful watering hole. Although it has recently undergone a renovation, Carmen Bar still hones its original charm and features.

Alchemy

Tucked away in the Gut, Alchemy veils its distinctive mixology experience behind the cryptic designs of alchemists forgotten. Priding itself on distilling its own cocktails and redefining presentation skill, Alchemy manages all this in an exclusive and cosy ambiance, with design motifs courtesy of international award winning designers.

Kennedy
Point 10 on map: Strait Street, Valletta
Garnering itself a much deserved breath of new life as a bar-and-bistro after a half-century of neglect, Kennedy bar is back with a bang. A favourite for military patrons in the 19th and 20th century, Kennedy represented the pinnacle of Maltese nightlife. Kennedy is back after half a centery of neglect. This is the last bar on the tour which will culminate with a live band commencing at 21.30
