Malta’s Michelin! Valletta’s ION Harbour Retains Prestigious Two Stars As New Restaurants Named In Guide’s 43 Favourites

After much anticipation, the Michelin Guide has released its 2025 list for Malta… and new names have been added to the list!At the very top of the list, Valletta’s luscious ION Harbour by Simon Rogan retained its prestigious two-star rating, remaining the only one restaurant in Malta with Michelin’s second-highest honour.
As far as the islands’ one-star restaurants go, five of last year’s six restaurants retained their spot, with Balzan’s Bahia losing its star and being relegated to the still-respectable Michelin Guide.
A surprise addition for 2025 is Le GV, which only recently opened in Sliema less than a year ago and has already shot up to a one-star Michelin rating!
Meanwhile, Malta’s Michelin Guide restaurants have increased from 28 to 31, with Bahia joining newcomers Seafood Market Grill, Risette and La Pira while Kuya was taken off the list.
