Maltese Pastizzi With Mozzarella And Bacon Are Being Sold In California
Our iconic pastizz has made its way to America’s Golden state in the most delicious way.
A Sacramento food truck is serving homemade pastizzi in California, and amongst the traditional ricotta and peas, one can also try a pastizz loaded with mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, fontina and bacon!
“I have a deep connection to my Maltese roots as my grandparents were migrants from Malta, as is my mother. Some of my fondest memories include my Nanna’s ricotta pastizzi,” Christopher Mack, the chef and founder, expresses.
His Instagram page For The Love Of Malta promotes his food truck, as well as his love for the Maltese delicacy.
His pastizzi are called The Valletta (Ricotta), The Mdina (Peas), The California (Mozzarella, Bacon etc…), and The Gozo (Goat cheese and spinach).

The food truck tours Sacramento, which is the capital city of the US state of California.
The chef has previously traveled to Malta, and took pastizzi cooking classes to advance his skills, and it seems to have paid off.
Mack keeps his followers and American pastizzi consumers updated on upcoming locations, on his Instagram page.
