Maltese Sausage And Ġbejna Pastizzi Have Landed In Malta – Here’s How To Find Them

Guys, the time has finally come.

The moment foodies across the island, and Maltese people across the globe, have been waiting for, is here: Maltese sausage, sundried tomatoes and ġbejna pastizzi by Sphinx Pastizzeria are here.

The pastizzi will be available in every Sphinx and Champ pastizzeria around the Maltese islands

That’s right – all of them. Just hit up your local Sphinx or Champ, and grin widely as you ask for one of the rarest pastizzi to ever be created.

The idea for a new summer pastizz came about after the Muscat Brothers, who run Sphinx, wanted to experiment with some new flavours

They’ve previously rolled out some insane flavours, including chicken, nutella, figolli, lampuki, and kinder bueno (not all at once, of course) to some rave reviews, but they wanted to push the boundaries with their next new pastizz.

After holding a brainstorming and tasting session, shortlisted six totally original flavours, Sphinx hit the streets of Valletta to see what the Maltese people had to say about the new flavours.

After the six flavours were cut down to two favourites, the fillings were put to a vote – pistachio vs Maltese sausage.

And of course, there can only be one true winner – apart from the Maltese people who will order this – and that would be the Maltese sausage flavour.

Tag someone who absolutely needs to try this original new pastizz!
