MasterChef Malta Episode Ends Without Elimination, Sparking Debates
Last night’s episode of MasterChef Malta saw no one being eliminated after the judges made a controversial decision to save the blue team, who received the least amount of votes.
The teams were tasked with cooking up a barbecue for 40 staff members of Hospice Malta at Villa Arrigo.
During the challenge, the red team struggled to finish preparations in time, resulting in guests waiting to pick up plates from their station.

Despite this setback, the red team still received the most votes from the guests, which meant someone from the blue team was expected to be eliminated.
However, the judges revealed their decision not to eliminate anyone, deeming it unfair that the blue team’s food went cold while patrons waited in line for food from the red team.
This decision sparked debates across the island, with some arguing that someone should have been eliminated.
Contestant Ivan Giordano also took to Facebook to give his two cents about the decision.
“Democratically, my team still got the most votes and I am proud of the flavours Sam, Ray and myself put on that plate, considering we are not trained in a professional kitchen,” Ivan shared.
“Perhaps it was fair that nobody got eliminated, but I would have at least expected an advantage for our team for next week’s challenge,” the contestant added.
Towards the end of the episode, the judges also announced that MasterChef Malta had donated €5,000 to Hospice Malta to support their outstanding dedication and hard work.
Next week’s episode will feature a double elimination, with the remaining contestants needing to ensure they are not among the two sent home.
