The name “Mimli” comes from one of the first words Daniel learned in Maltese. It means something like “I’m full” (“Mimli, mimli!”) a perfect name for something that celebrates food, family, and generous portions.

Daniel speaks openly about how these recipes are part of preserving culture: keeping family history alive, memories of summers, the sounds, smells, the feel of Malta. Mimli isn’t just about desserts, it’s a connection to identity and heritage.

With plans to expand into savoury options, Mimli is quickly becoming a go-to for Maltese food lovers in the UK!
