New Gozitan Restaurant Named Sister Island’s Best For 2023 At The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Awards

A restaurant perched high above Gozo’s Mġarr harbour may not have been open for a whole year yet… but it’s already won the award for the sister island’s best place to dine.
Level Nine by Oliver Glowig took home the prestigious award – along with the award for Best Newcomer and the third best overall restaurant in Malta & Gozo – at this year’s Definitive(ly) Good Guide Awards, which were announced yesterday during a ceremony held last night at The Grand Hotel Excelsior.
The restaurant – which prides itself on being “Mġarr’s highest”, sees Michelin-star German chef Oliver Glowig heading the kitchen.
Specialising in Italian cuisine, Glowig earned his first star at Munich’s Aquarello, but has eventually found himself on Malta’s sister island, devising a delectable menu that has triggered rave reviews in the months it’s been officially open since this summer.
