Bad news for tea lovers. Flora’s Cafe, quite possibly the quaintest and daintiest tea room in Malta, has announced it is about to shut its doors.

As from the 28th of October we will sadly no longer be operating the Naxxar Tearoom and Sunday 27th will be our last day,” Flora’s said in a Facebook post.

Owned by Dani von Brockdorff, Flora’s is located smack bang in the middle of the Naxxar village square and, apart from its sweets and afternoon teas, is best known for its interior, which makes guests feel as though they’re stepping into a dollhouse.

However, all things must come to an end, and Flora’s will now focus exclusively on private events.

“It has been an absolutely incredible five years full of wonderful people, cakes, and amazing memories,” Flora’s said. “We’d like to thank each and every one of you who stepped through our doors for supporting us on this journey, we could not have done it without you and for that we are forever grateful. We are sad to say goodbye to our beloved cafe, but super excited for the future.”

The good news is that we will be working super hard to make sure our private events and tea parties are the very best they can be,” Flora said. We will be adding lots of fun options and packages for parties large and small. Watch this space for more!”
