Phoenicia To Host Handpicked Umbrian Truffle Dinner
The Phoenicia Malta is set to host a one-of-a-kind culinary experience at its flagship restaurant Contessa, featuring the unique taste of foraged white truffles.
Just days before the event, Food and Beverage Manager Matteo Biagini and Executive Chef Daniel Debattista along with The Phoenicia Malta’s Brand Ambassador Neville Juan Cardona and Hotel Manager Silvan Camilleri will embark to the forests of North Umbria, Italy, to harvest the truffles to be used for the event.The team will be accompanied by two Lagotto Romagnolo dogs, Minni and Lilla. This beloved Italian breed is renowned for its skill in truffle hunting.
On 22nd November, guests will dine in luxury and get to experience the aroma and taste of the truffles brought back in a five-course meal true to the Italian essence, all paired with the finest Italian wines from Charles Grech.
