These Places In Malta Will Completely Satisfy Your Chips Craving
We asked our readers for some help choosing the best place to get chips in Malta, and the response we got very clearly shows many establishments are competing to be the nation’s favourite.
Keeping in mind that the words “French fries” and “chips” have become interchangeable among the Maltese, these are, according to the public (and in no particular order), the six best places to get chips in Malta.
1. Bongo Nyah
This Marsascala eatery has been making waves online thanks to its mouthwatering burgers and extensive vegan options. Its extremely generous portions of crispy chips and potato chunks, however, prove that the best restaurants treat every single item with absolute dedication.
2. Hangout
The only problem with this photo is that it creates one of the biggest dilemmas in the world; how could you ever choose just one delicious derivative? You’d better hope you show up to Hangout with four friends so that you don’t feel too guilty about ordering one of each.
3. NOVI Bar
Just look at those potato ripples. We can already imagine biting into each one of those chips’ tasty ridges. NOVI claims that its food is “Too legit to quit”, and their photos are all the proof we need.
4. Hugo’s Burger
The Hugo empire continues to grow, and things have recently taken a turn to the delicious with Hugo’s Burger. Arguably serving up some of the best burgers on the island, it only took HB a couple of months to build up the following that other eateries would’ve needed years to achieve. And sitting comfortably on the side of those delicious “H” branded burgers are tasty cups of crispy chips.
5. New York Best
It seems like the NYB hype train isn’t slowing down any time soon, and with food like that, it’s pretty easy to see why. Their thin, salty crispy French fries (and an indulgent option to go for cheesy fries if you really want to take your tastebuds on a trip) stand as solid proof that there’s always time for New York Best.
Bonus: Battle of the Fast Food French Fries
Whether we’d like to admit it or not, when all else fails or it’s four in the morning and we’re craving chips, many of us end up here anywhere. The big question is; which one would you actually go for?
