It’s St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, the Irish patron saint of getting absolutely sloshed. Get your green gear on and head down to any of these events to start your weekend with a good time and greater hangover.

1. Quenchers / Big G’s

This is one of the main St. Julian’s street party drink fests. Expect a massive DJ line up, hosted by Mizzi G & David with Guests who will dish out your favourite tracks. There will be several bars around serving up your St. Patrick’s delights. The music starts at 2 and goes on till late.

2. Tigullio

Expect massive crowds at Spinola Bay, where Tigulio is hosting what it calls a festival for St. Patrick’s Day. Expect loads of DJs and great public hooliganism.

3. Thirsty Barber

Just further up the road is the place you want to be for an authentic Irish day. The Thirsty Barber, a prohibition-style bar, is hosting Irish band ReelCeltic, who’ll keep you boogying and boozing all night long.

4. Big Ron’s

Big Ron’s, the uber cool record store in Tax-Xbiex, is hosting their very first St. Paddie’s event. The line-up includes some great names like MATO, Gordan Flash, Luca Cordina and Bengy. This one’s for the alternative kids. Bonus, you get to party in the street and gaze out to Valletta.

5. Storeroom

Just next door to Big Ron’s is another alternative gem – Storeroom! This year they’re celebrating the green feast with a set by Argentinian DJ Santi Massari, who’ll be laying down house grooves in the evening, together with Nico Chifi.

6. The Red Parrot Pub

Going international here – The Red Parrot Pub, a Columbian bar with amazing bar bites, is presenting its own take on St. Patrick’s Day, complete with green beers down in Gzira.

Bonus: The Crafty Cat Irish Pub

If you want to spend St Patrick’s in an authentic Irish Pub, head to the Crafty Cat for an evening full of surprises and good fun.
