When the Bacon Festival in Zejtun was first announced, it broke the internet in Malta. But it seems yesterday’s event didn’t live up to expectations.
People are now sharing their experiences on the event page, and it’s not pretty.
This guy claimed half the menu wasn’t available. And don’t get him started about the children wailing on stage.
The first rule of Bacon Festival is Bacon Fries.
Would a strawberry fest have no strawberries? Would it?!?
The organisers tried to fight back. “No bacon? Look at these three slivers here!”
But the hate just kept coming.

At least some tried a more constructive approach to the criticism.
But even those who enjoyed it most were left wanting. Candied bacon anyone?
