Sphinx Pastizzeria, one of Malta’s most popular pastizzi brands, is launching salmon pastizzi and lampuki pie all over Malta and Gozo today.
The two new fishy savoury pastizzi are being rolled out just in time for Lent. Vinu Muscat, one of the men behind the new pies, said Sphinx wanted to offer two new dishes during Lenten time.
The pastizzi come with salmon, spinach and ricotta, while the pies come with lampuki and vegetables.
While the pastizzi and pies are being rolled out for the season, Muscat said they were open to keeping them on the menu if they prove popular with customers.
