A new Starbucks outlet is set to open in Sliema, near Qui-Si-Sana, in the coming months.

The international franchise’s recognisable green logo appeared in the new location’s facade over the last few days, sparking excitement in local coffee-lovers looking for a sugary caffeine fix.

This would be the third Starbucks cafe to open on the island, following their debut along the Valletta Waterfront and their second opening in Mellieħa earlier this year.

The Sliema location is expected to open shortly, in January 2020, along Piazzetta near the intersection between Qui-Si-Sana and Tower Road.

Starbucks is one of the biggest food and beverage franchises in the world, famous for its overflowing frappuccinos as well as seasonal hits such as the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Long queues had formed outside of the debut Valletta outlet, with the location itself subsequently being named as one of the most Instagrammable Starbucks in the world.
