That’s A Wrap: ‘Panina’ Eatery Opens In Fgura And Owner Thanks Local Community
Kurt Bezzina was never fond of school but he had always loved cooking in the kitchen from a young age. Now the young culinary entrepreneur has launched an eatery ‘Panina’ in Fgura.
Speaking to The People of Malta, the chef – who worked in the catering and hospitality industry for nearly ten years has thanked locals for their support and given some words of wisdom and advice for aspiring chefs across the country.
“I believe that maybe those who are not academically inclined should not give up on trying to do something else and shouldn’t feel inferior to others. Surely everyone is good at something!”
“I opened up an eatery very recently – Panina. The response has been overwhelming and I was not expecting it! I am very happy that my dream is turning into reality.”
Bezzina continued, “I came up with the concept of Panina, where one can order and create their own panina made fresh. Daily. I am not very fond of following a menu, and even though I have one, clients have already got used to building up their own meal”.
The eatery has attempted to cater to everyone’s needs and dietary requirements, with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.
Meanwhile local favorites such as cannoli, ftira and focaccia can be found at Panina and washed down with a cappuccino – served via the Segafrendo Zanetti Coffee system.
