There's An Awesome New Hangout In Valletta, And It's Hidden In Plain Sight

Venture underground... it'll be worth it

What with its recent revival and its upcoming crowning as 2018's European Capital of Culture, Valletta has seen an explosion in restaurants, bars and hangouts. The most recent one to hit the capital city is as fancy as they get... and it's hidden underground.

Adesso Bar was launched just last month, but as Christmastime rolls on, it's been gaining a wider popularity. Located on South Street just under a restaurant which bears the same name, Adesso Bar serves drinks in the coolest possible environment. The Ferrando family, who are also the people behind the Adesso restaurant, sure know how to set the mood for some underground fun.

Adesso Bar is open from Wednesday to Saturday, and much like the inspiration behind the decor and the location, every day promises something different.

Wednesdays are Ladies Nights, Thursdays sees Nadine Axisa and her band bring some good old jazz, and Fridays bring DJ Clint for a bit of a weekly cool-down. For Saturdays, various DJs are invited to drop some chill and funk-house tracks.
