The Malta Tourism Authority recently hosted the fourth edition of the Quality Assured Restaurant Awards Ceremony and named the seven restaurants that have been recognised and celebrated for their contributions to Maltese gastronomy and impeccable service in 2018.

The ceremony, which was held at Villa Arrigo, featured 120 restaurants competing in three different award categories: Best In Class Award, Best Service and Hospitality Award, and Customer Feedback Award.

The Deputy CEO of the MTA Mr Leslie Vella and Director of Quality and Industry HR Development Mr David Mifsud presented the awards. Interestingly, the Best Customer Feedback award was based on almost 30,000 customer reviews over the year.

The Minister for Tourism Dr Konrad Mizzi congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of quality in an “industry which is growing exponentially year on year”. Nearly €2,000 in donations were raised and given to the Malta Community Chest Fund on the night.
