The south of Malta has become quite a hotspot for awesome eateries. Traditionally the best place in Malta to get fresh fish and seafood, the south now boasts some of the best meat-focused establishments as well.

Be it affordable, family-friendly fare, or upscale, romantic restaurants, don’t underestimate the south of Malta when it comes to delicious food.

This place is perfect for a large family meal. They’ve got Maltese platters, delicious rabbit dishes, and of course, all the fresh fish and seafood you could ever need. Also, enjoy a great view of Filfla.

This laid-back eatery in the centre of Wied il-Għajn has some of the tastiest marinated ribs and burgers on the island. Their Irish burger is to die for, with a homemade Jameson sauce really making this burger stand out.

Bongo Nyah and Zion are your alternative stalwarts in the region. Tasty and healthy items like smoothies, juices and mains like the Bean Burger as well as the Chicken Teriyaki makes this place a lowkey gem.
