Yesterday, the glitzy Restaurant Awards hosted by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide returned to hand out several awards to some of the best eateries around the island… and Dinner In The Sky won the the top spot for the Best Restaurant 2019.

This wasn’t even the only award that the literally elevated dining experience managed to bag, with Dinner In The Sky also swooping the awards for Best Ambience, Best Service and ending up as runners up for the restaurant with the Liveliest Atmosphere.

Last night’s award marks yet another milestone for beloved chef Marvin Gauci, who is nearly always mentioned among the best on the island. In fact, it was Marvin’s St. Paul’s Bay fine-dining restaurant Tarragon that took this same award home this time last year, along with other restaurants like Buddhaman and Caviar & Bull.

Dinner In The Sky shot to fame the moment it launched two years ago. The sky-high restaurant beat more than 1,400 other restaurants in Malta on TripAdvisor by consistently filling 5 stars.

Now in its third year, Dinner In The Sky was initially set up in Valletta, with the second location being Golden Bay. This year, the beloved dining experience moved to the more central Manoel Island just off the G?ira promenade. One thing remains the same though; a high-class restaurant suspended 40 metres in the sky with faultless food.

Unfortunately, DITS only opens for a few months during the sunnier season, but we already cannot wait to see what they have in store for next year.

You’ll get the scoop right here as soon as booking opens, but for now make sure to check out our advice on what to do once you land a seat.

Congrats to Dinner in the Sky, and see you next Summer!
