A restaurant owner has decided to use his chalkboard to poke fun at Economy Minister Chris Cardona, who was in the eye of the storm this week after claims he went to a brothel in Germany on a government visit.

Popular pizzeria Margo’s yesterday unveiled a new special called The FKK Acapulco, named after the Dusseldorf brothel Cardona allegedly visited. The pizza’s description: “Hot, spicy, camouflaged and can be shared.”

It also came with a warning: “Once you have it, everyone at home will find out about it.”

Speaking to Lovin Malta, owner Claude Camilleri said the pizza was made with spicy cheese, chilis, and was covered in ruccola. “I couldn’t help it really. The ingredients were perfect,” he said.

“I was watching the whole thing unfolding and all I could think to myself was: dude, just admit it and get on with it. You cannot deny the truth. We wanted to take the piss out of the guy, not so much for going there but for denying it.”

He said he’d be happy to welcome Cardona to his restaurant and give him the pizza for free.

“I’d probably sit down with him and say: dude, we’re both men. If you do something like this, you just accept it, don’t deny it.”

Camilleri said the pizza will be available all week but if Cardona shows up, he’ll extend the run by another week and give any earnings to charity.

“I’ll give 10% to those who cannot only not afford a prostitute but not even some food on their table,” he joked.

Cardona has denied the allegations and threatened legal action against blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia for revealing the story.
