TONIGHT: Glastonbury Festival Band To Perform At Malta’s Newest Poolside Venue
English band Port Erin, who have garnered near-cult status and have played at the super-popular Glastonbury Festival in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014, will be performing live tonight at Kuya Beach, one of Malta’s newest and most exciting poolside venues (with a healthy dose of mouthwatering Asian food).
The trio is here for a weekend of performances around the island, but tonight’s appearance isn’t just special because it’s their first in Malta. Port Erin’s live set will form part of the Horizon Thursdays, a new weekly concept collaboration between GET it, Blank and the food legends KuYa themselves.
Performing alongside Port Erin (who will next week be jetting off to the UK for yet another Glastonbury Festival appearance) are The Ranch, a young and extremely energetic local band which has been making waves both on our island and beyond.
And when the two bands’ sets are done and the sun goes down, the fun would only just be starting, thanks to a deep house set courtesy of Mark Harrison.
This sounds like an awesome event even before you throw in Kuya Beach into the mix, which will definitely be a highlight in of itself. The venue will be serving Kuya specialities and new Asian inspired pizzas, just in case you wanted that extra special post-work treat on a Thursday evening.
The event kicks off at 6pm and the venue is limited to 300 people, so we’d recommend heading down there as early as possible. And it’s definitely looking a perfect day for an evening of great music by the pool.
More information on the whole night can be found on the Facebook event page.
