The Palestinian Embassy in Malta is accepting donations to provide bread and water to the people of Gaza who have been suffering from consistent horrific Israeli attacks for over a year.
“Join in the humanitarian project that intends to ease the suffering of children during the humanitarian crisis,” the embassy wrote, captioning a video posted to social media.
The footage shows bread being prepared and disseminated to the civilians of the enclave, with two children saying “Thank you Malta” for the food and water.

Over the weekend, Gaza officials said Israeli forces killed two more journalists, bringing the total death toll of media workers since the most recent start of the war to 182.
Palestinian journalists have been documenting the siege of Gaza since the start of the war, providing devastating proof of the war crimes and inhumane treatment facing innocent civilians. Journalists are fighting censorship and targeted attacks.
Around a week ago, Palestinian journalist Bisan Owda documented a “death queue” in Jabalia, North Gaza. Images shared by the journalist show a queue of people separated into males and females. The women are ordered to leave with their hands tied and blindfolded and are “often placed in a deep hole… we all know what happens after”.
Either, she said, they’re buried alive, they’re executed on the ground, or taken hostage to suffer “torture, murder, organ theft, and rape”.
According to Al Jazeera, which cited the UN’s OHCA, 87% of housing units, 80% of commercial facilities, 68% of cropland, 68% of road networks and 87% of school buildings have been damaged since 7th October of last year. 17 out of 36 hospitals are partially functional and 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced.
Meanwhile, Israeli air strikes across Lebanon have killed at least 21 people, including three paramedics.
In the illegally occupied Palestinian territories, citizens have been targeted by Israeli settlers who are damaging properties as well as torturing, assaulting, threatening and displacing Palestinian civilians. Such incidents have been on the rise since last year.
Israel’s unrelenting military campaign is being supported by the United States through the provision of military aid and the selling of weapons, as well as European states like Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Most international leaders, including European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, remain largely silent on these atrocities while Malta is yet to recognise Palestine as an independent state – despite pledging to do so earlier this year.
