If you like food or cooking shows, you’ve definitely heard of Bruno Barbieri. The legendary chef, multiple Michelin-star earner, and Celebrity MasterChef judge is known the world over… but if there’s one place he loves, it’s definitely Malta.
Barbieri has been to the islands a couple of times, often linking up with Malta’s very own celebrity chef Marvin Gauci, who once even taught him his party trick of opening an expensive champagne bottle with one of Napoleon’s swords.
Now, the Italian chef has taken his love of all things Maltese to the next level, releasing a whole new series aptly named Viaggo A Malta.
And the first episode starts where most trips to Malta begin: right in the heart of the tiny capital brimming with culture, Valletta.
From Malta’s oldest cafeteria to the island’s prized Caravaggio painting, Gauci runs Barbieri through a whole day’s worth of must-visits. And that really means a whole day, with the pair ending with a beer and a dance down the capital’s buzzing streets.
