Watch: ‘They Have Kinnie!’ – Gozitan Living In London Uploads Hilarious Haul Video Of Tooting’s New McSims

Getting a small taste of home when you’re on the other side of the continent is always very exciting… and that’s exactly what one young Gozitan woman living in London ended up running into when she checked out the brand new McSims pastizzeria which opened just 10 minutes away from her house.

“To all my Maltese London friends that I said I’d wait and come with you, I’m really sorry, I couldn’t wait,” Chanel excitedly said, absolutely losing her cool when she spotted the large display of Kinnie and other local drinks available at the new Tooting store.

The second Chanel walked in, everything looked and sounded very Maltese – from the cheap prices for the super recognisable treats, down to people bantering in the Maltese… and the super oily paper bags, of course!

“A Maltese person in there realised I was Maltese and spoke to me instantly, saying he also lives in the area,” Chanel told Lovin Malta. “We were both telling the owner about how many more customers we’re planning to bring him!”

“The guy says that by the end of Saturday, he sells out,” she proudly said in the video which has already amassed over 40,000 views on TikTok. “There have been people coming from Scotland and northern parts of the UK just to get his pastizzi!”

For an extra dose of Malta, Chanel even picked up some freshly cut narċis, proudly showing off her timpana, ricotta pastizzi, the iconic square pizzas… and the Kinnies, of course. But not before she gave us one last local reference, munching on the pastizz and closing off with “Serving Kant”.

Send this to someone who would have the exact same reaction if they ran into a McSims in London… and someone who needs to check this store out!
