We all (hopefully) know about the award-winning restaurant that is Lord Nelson.
It’s consistently on the list for restaurants with the best food, best service and it’s in the top 10 of this year’s best restaurants in Malta (awarded by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo 2019).
They know how to make some stunning dishes and they do this extremely well. But of all their unique and creative dishes, one really had us do a double-take.
Say hello to posh corned beef.
Costing €11 on the starters section is the ‘Brisket and bone marrow (corned beef)’. Their own homemade ‘corned beef’ goes through a long journey before making its way to your plate.
The beef brisket is first cured in their seasoned brine for a whole seven days, and then cooked sous vide and vacuum-packed in a controlled temperature for two more days. While it cools, the bone-marrow is roasted and the beef is finally minced and seasoned to perfection.
