World Championship Award For Vecchia Napoli
Three pizzaioli from the Maltese pizzeria Vecchia Napoli proudly secured bronze at the 10th Campionato Mondiale Pizza DOC, held annually in Paestum, Campania, Italy.
Placing third out of eighteen, the Vecchia Napoli team presented a deconstructed, flat version of the iconic Capo di Monte calzone in the Pizza a Squadra Brand Pizzerie category.
Competing against participants from 18 countries, Fabio Spina, Francesco Cimino, and Luigi Ernesto Arnone, who have lived in Malta for several years, expressed their pride in representing the Malta-based brand on the international stage.
This marks Vecchia Napoli’s debut at the world championships – but it certainly won’t be the last.
