Zebra And Crocodile Burgers Are Now Available From This Ħamrun Restaurant

Photos: The Journey
Malta has long been lagging behind when it comes to wild game, but this new restaurant in Ħamrun is determined to put that right.
The Journey, a small outlet nestled in between a Bangladeshi store and the popular Pizza4U, has become the first restaurant in Malta to serve crocodile and zebra burgers!

The exotic burgers, which come at a cost of €16, are the latest addition to The Journey’s already pretty wild menu.
Named after countries, their burgers include The Costa Rica, with wild boar meat and Jack Daniels sauce, The Indonesia, with horse meat and Tiki Sauce, and The Australia, with (you guessed it) kangaroo meat and Kahlua sauce.

While The Journey is most renowned for its burgers, its pizzas are packed with flavour too, with the biggest hit undoubtedly The Exotic – a pizza with toppings of pulled duck, minced kangaroo meat, wild boar shavings and truffle cream for the ridiculously decent price of €9.50.
And its decision to branch out into crocodile and zebra meat, imported straight from The Netherlands, shows it isn’t afraid to shake things up.
What will follow? An ostrich burger, a snake burger, a bear burger? We’re all ears!
