14 Hospitalised With Minor Injuries In Gozo Bus And Car Crash
A serious collision between a car and a bus in Gozo has left fourteen people with minor injuries, and both drivers are being kept under observation.
The accident, along Triq Ta’ Xħajmu in Nadur, occurred at around 3pm.
The impact destroyed the car’s bonnet and engine block – while also leaving fourteen people with fairly minor injuries which are being treated at the Gozo General Hospital.
Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri was on the scene and thanked the Civil Protection Department, the Police, Transport Malta, and hospital staff for helping to handle the injuries caused by this accident.
He described the accident as “terrible” in a post on social media.
Health Minister Chris Fearne thanked Gozo General Hospital staff for their “prompt and efficient care to multiple injuries” after the collision.
Thankfully, nobody on the scene was fatally injured, yet this news is the latest in an ever-longer line of motorist collisions that continue to plague streets around Malta and Gozo.
The police are on the scene and their investigations are ongoing.
