AFM Rescues Gozitan Man After Car Falls Into Sea At Mġarr Terminal

The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) rescued a Gozitan man from Xagħra last night after his car ended up in the sea at the Mġarr Terminal in Gozo.
The driver was brought to shore but was taken to Gozo General Hospital as he was suffering from shock after the ordeal.
“The AFM immediately dispatched its asset to the scene of the rescue and confirmed that the person in the car was safe,” the AFM’s statement said.
“The AFM will further conduct an underwater search and remove any objects which might be a hazard to navigation.”
No further details were provided relating to what caused the incident in the first place.
