Bernard Grech Pledges Fourth And Possibly Fifth Gozo Ferry If PN Is Elected
Nationalist Party leader Bernard Grech has pledged that, if elected to government, the PN will introduce a fourth – and possibly even a fifth – Gozo ferry to improve connectivity between Malta and its sister island.
Speaking during a PN event in Għajnsielem, Grech emphasised the need for better infrastructure to support Gozo’s development while preserving its unique character.
He stressed that progress should not come at the cost of erasing Gozo’s identity.
“All that is good in Gozo must be utilised without being erased,” Grech said, highlighting the importance of maritime investment and an expanded Mġarr Harbour to accommodate larger vessels alongside the fast ferry.
Grech also criticised the Labour government, accusing it of failing to deliver on key promises, including the long-awaited Gozo hospital project.
Do you think adding more Gozo ferries will solve the island’s connectivity issues?
