Gozo Experiences Power Cuts Following Cable Fire Incident
As the summer heat intensifies, more reports of power cuts across the islands have been reported, with Gozo experiencing several outages over the past two days.
Last night, Enemalta reported its works on restoring electricity to Gozo after a fire disrupted service by damaging crucial cables.

While the incident occurred on Tuesday evening when one of the main electricity cables to Gozo caught fire, subsequently affecting another cable servicing the area, many localities in Gozo reported not having electricity on Monday as well.
The Civil Protection Department was called to the site to control the fire, during which Enemalta had to switch off all the cables providing electricity to Gozo as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the workers.
