Earthquakes, Nuclear Attacks And A Prison Island: Actual Nostradamus Predictions About Malta’s Future

The world famous astrologer and physician from the 16th century has predicted several events, including, apparently, the recent Queen’s death – but did you know he also made several predictions about Malta?

His prophecies have been praised by some, and ridiculed by others, but no matter how you feel about them, they continue to be a subject of debate almost five centuries later.

Here are three predictions Nostradamus made about Malta:

1. It will become a ‘Prison Island’

This is very unlikely to happen, however, never say never. Nostradamus proceeds to explain that it will be populated only by torturers and prisoners – metaphorically-speaking though, this could very much be taken as truth,  what with all the political and societal issues going on at the moment.

2. A whole lot of earthquakes

Unless he meant the slight tremors which only bombard and ruin my Facebook feed, then this one is also inaccurate.

There hasn’t yet been one significant earthquake that was so strong that it literally shook the country. *Currently touching all woods.*

3. And maybe even a nuclear attack

This is the last thing the island needs! As if all the car accidents, murders, inflation, and political chaos isn’t enough. Nostradamus really left us with no hope for the future…

What do we actually wish Nostradamus predicted though?

If I could travel back in time, I’d ask Nostradamus if he has any good predictions for our islands – maybe something about it being turned into an ecological paradise instead, or, at the very least, a date when the country will finally find itself hosting a Harry Styles concert.
