River of Love pastor Gordon Manche’s latest sermon on bum sex caused quite a ripple across Maltese social media.

During a live-streamed sermon/rant on Tuesday, Manche told viewers that “you cannot have sex in the ass… it’s an abomination” and that “God did not make you gay”.

Obviously, Malta couldn’t just let these comments slide by.

Here’s the clip if you haven’t seen it:

1. Allied Rainbow Communities, a gay rights advocacy group, posted a tongue-in-cheek carousel of banal examples of what people would have to follow if they really followed the Bible in a literal sense.

These include keeping your hair unkept, tearing your clothes and eating fat…

2. Bis-Serjetà, Malta’s best-known satire portal, also hopped in on the irony train.

This is extra spicy considering River Of Love is taking the man behind the satire site to court over some of their satirical comments.

3. Activist-journalist Maya Dimitrijevic gave Manche a good reason to reconsider his opinion:

“But Gordon Manche if more people do it up the bum, the less abortions happen,” she wrote.

And she followed that up with a nice buttery comment.

4. OnyFans star Denise Dalton topped off the conversation with a personal joke.

“I guess I got a lot of demons then…”

What’s your reaction to Manche’s patata sermon?
