WATCH: Maltese Couple Killed Five Minutes Away From Home In Horrific Australian Car Crash
An elderly Maltese couple who had been married for 50 years died within hours of each other following a car crash in Sydney yesterday.
Carmen Sant, 81, and her husband Frank Sant, 83, were five minutes away from home after having had dinner with friends, news outlet 7News has reported.

According to ONE News, the couple had met their friends at La Valetta, a social centre in Sydney renowned among Maltese expats for serving up traditional Maltese food.
As they were driving home, a 22-year-old Indian national collided into their vehicle at full speed, with video footage showing the impact of the collision. Carmen Sant died on site, while her husband passed away at hospital a few hours later.
The driver has been arrested and will reportedly be charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
